We interrupt this sock drama to bring you photos of the beaded shawl, all finished.
This piece is very hard to photograph. I wanted to show the grand scale of it, but also show some of the finer details, and I wanted to do it with the wind less than 40 mph and the heat index below 100. So it had to wait until today.
That’s the best we could do for full scale.
Close up of the main lace section.
Best picture of the lot of sad attempts to capture some edging detail.
Another “meh” picture of the edging. I must have hurt my camera’s feelings recently.
I think she’s trying not to laugh at the photographer’s “skills.”
The pattern is Rosalind by Sivia Harding, knit with Dream in Color Baby in the color Purple Paisley, using beads that were a gift from a friend. It was a challenging, rewarding knit.
