When Startitis Meets Sloth

I “tidied” my desk today.  When I was done, I had the above pile of knitting projects assembled. I remarked to my sister that the knitting seems to have taken over the desk. She snorted (really!) and said “DESK?! Just the DESK?”

Harumph.

I had an inkling that the UFOs were getting out of hand when I couldn’t find anymore size 1s…or 6s…or 7s.

Onward!

Okay, here’s where I knew I was in trouble. I glanced at a bag of cookies, saw the weight measured in grams number and unconsciously tried to picture which type of yarn it was. Didn’t connect the numbers to the cookies at all. It’s hopeless!

My desk is in the same state as yours. My shame concerning my WiP to FO ratio has resulted in me not updating my Ravelry projects page because I know my friends will mock me. Oh, startitis.

Is that mug as big as it looks? And…. I hide all my startitis projects in buckets under tables with long table skirts so no one knows they are there, including myself until months later when I suddenly clean that corner and – SURPRISE! 😀

Oh, you funny lady! And yes, it is a monster Mickey Mouse coffee mug and I loves it!

I took one of those pictures a week ago. Then I deleted it and sorted projects into tubs and bags to be pulled out one at a time. Sort of like a special little treasure to finish rather than an irritating reminder!

I went through my WIPs last fall and frogged a bunch – but hid a couple in my stash so I didn’t have to see them all the time.
