Somehow, I managed to leave our previous home without a hat. Ridiculous, don’t you think?
S noticed my lack of hat when we were out sledding, with arctic wind blasting my ears off, and encouraged me to get one whipped up ASAP. I found a delightful pattern, Rikki Hat by Sarah Young. My photo is horribly washed out so you can’t see how well it highlights beautiful hand dyed yarns, made as it is with garter stitch. The pattern is written to be a little longer than mine, but I was worried about running out of yarn and so I shortened it a bit.
It’s a lovely pattern, and I wanted to pass it on, in case you’re in need of a simple, classy, comfortable hat pattern. I’m sure I’ll be making more!
